Privacy Policy

Effective June 26, 2026 · MadCool LLC, operating as MadCool Signal

This Privacy Policy explains how MadCool LLC, which operates the MadCool Signal service (“MadCool Signal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, protects, and shares information. MadCool Signal is a digital-shelf and channel-monitoring service for premium consumer-electronics brands. It applies to madcoolsignal.com, the MadCool Signal customer portal, and the data we process on behalf of our customers through authorized platform integrations.

1. Who we are

The data controller is MadCool LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. You can reach us about privacy at hello@madcoolsignal.com. Our mailing address is listed in the Contact section below.

2. Information we collect

From visitors to our website

Our marketing site is intentionally lean. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. We may collect basic, aggregated server and security logs (such as IP address and request metadata) to operate the site reliably and protect it from abuse. Your display-theme preference is stored locally in your browser and is never sent to us.

From customers and prospects

When you contact us, request a demo, or become a customer, we collect the information you provide — typically a name, business email, company, and the details needed to set up and support your account.

From authorized platform integrations

On behalf of our customers, and only with their authorization, we access product and channel data through official platform APIs and licensed data sources. This includes product listing content, specifications, images, and pricing for the customer’s own catalog. We use this data to detect content, specification, and price (including minimum-advertised-price) discrepancies and to produce time-stamped evidence reports for the customer. Our service is monitoring and detection only; it does not create, edit, price, or take enforcement action on listings.

3. Amazon Information

When a selling partner (a brand owner or their authorized representative) connects their Amazon account to MadCool Signal, they authorize us through Amazon’s official OAuth flow to access specific data through the Amazon Selling Partner API (SP-API). We handle that data (“Amazon Information”) as follows:

  • We request only the roles required to deliver the monitoring service — product listing content and pricing for the selling partner’s own catalog.
  • We use Amazon Information solely to provide the monitoring, drift-detection, and evidence-reporting service to that selling partner. We never use it for advertising, resale, model training, or any unrelated purpose.
  • We do not request, access, or store Amazon buyer personally identifiable information.
  • We encrypt Amazon Information in transit and at rest, restrict access on a least-privilege basis, and log access.
  • We retain Amazon Information only as long as necessary to provide the service, and we delete it on request or when the selling partner revokes authorization.

Our handling of Amazon Information complies with the Amazon Acceptable Use Policy and the Amazon Data Protection Policy. To request deletion of Amazon Information, contact hello@madcoolsignal.com.

4. How we use information

  • To provide, operate, secure, and improve the MadCool Signal service.
  • To detect listing content, specification, and price discrepancies and generate evidence reports for the customer who authorized the data access.
  • To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and service updates.
  • To meet legal, security, and contractual obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your data, and we do not share customer or platform data with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only with service providers who help us run the service under contract, and only as needed:

  • Cloud hosting and content delivery (Vercel, Cloudflare).
  • Database and application infrastructure (Supabase).
  • Business email (Fastmail).
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of MadCool Signal, our customers, or the public.

Data accessed on behalf of a customer is made available only to that customer and to authorized MadCool Signal personnel operating the service.

6. Data security

We protect information with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, least-privilege access controls scoped to job function, network and platform security controls provided by our infrastructure, and access logging. We maintain an incident-response process and will notify affected parties, and relevant platforms, of qualifying security incidents as required.

7. Data retention and deletion

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and contractual obligations, then delete or de-identify it. Customers may request deletion of their data, and platform data is deleted when the underlying authorization is revoked. Requests go to hello@madcoolsignal.com.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@madcoolsignal.com and we will respond as required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Cookies and local storage

We use only the storage necessary to run the service: an essential session cookie for signed-in portal users, and a local theme preference stored in your browser. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

10. International users and data location

MadCool Signal is operated from the United States, and information is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be processed here.

11. Children’s privacy

MadCool Signal is a business-to-business service and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify customers.
